Hey, awesome human!! x

Thank you so much for joining this strong group of kick ass people trying to tackle the biggest music video we’ve ever attempted.

(All details correct as of 13th April)

So, what are we doing?

We are filming a music video to my new song, ‘Red Lights’ - you can take a sneak peak at it here:

(Please don’t share this with anyone because it hinders the actual release on April 30th - we trust you xx)

Basically, here’s a quick summary of what we’re going to do together:

  • Dress up and gather together at the Monash Uni Student Theatre in Clayton

  • Learn some super easy movements we’ll do as a group that will look GREAT on camera
    (if you’re worried - don’t be! they’ll be super easy, and I am a TERRIBLE dancer, so we’ll feel goofy together ❤️ )

  • Sing along to the song and dance about, having fun throwing water soluble red chalk at each other!
    (whaaat? i know, how fun does this sound!)

  • Create our own little signs that have a message we’d like to share about the topic of this song and film ourselves holding them. Whatever this topic means to you. This will also be open to anyone online to do and submit to be involved

When & Where!

We will be shooting the video at the Monash University Student Theatre this Sunday 18th April.

The address is Campus Centre, Monash University, 21 Chancellors Walk, Clayton VIC 3800. It’s located at the Monash University Clayton Campus.

If you’re driving, you will be able to park on campus for FREE as it is a Sunday, - the area marked below is the closest to the theatre.

If you need to take public transport, the Monash University Bus Interchange has regular busses arriving - check PTV to see what bus works best for you.

There is a schedule outlined below, but the day will run from 8:15am - 5:30pm, with plenty of breaks in between!

If you have any questions or transport issues, let us know!

INFO ON WHAT YOU NEED TO DO BEFORE THE DAY:

Costume reference (without marks! We’ll play with paint/chalk on the day)

  • Costume - basic, skin coloured clothing that you don’t mind getting chalk covered.

    • Your body, your skin! Whatever you’re comfortable in.
      We all vary in skin tone, but just wear something that you feel matches yours.

    • If you can, please bring a few options so we can try to make us all look cohesive on the day.

    • Basic means block colour (no patterns, etc), no excessive zips, ties, etc. Think t-shirts, leggings, pants, shorts.

    • Please don’t pick clothing with visible logos/prints/patterns on them! We can’t use them x

    • Places I’ve seen varied skin toned clothing - Cotton On Body, Cotton On, Kmart, Target (I’m sure there’s more!)

    • Please bring clothes that you are happy to get red chalk/paint on! It should wash off, but best to bring clothes that aren’t super valuable.

    • If you’re having issues with this - get in touch with us and we’ll help you!! x

  • Hair/Make up - literally whatever, as long as it’s pretty akin to what you’d wear daily.

    • Hair can be out, tied up - doesn’t matter!

    • I love a bit of makeup, but if you don’t want to wear any - you don’t have to :)

    • My make up will be just my daily kinda look - if you feel like going all out, you go girl! But I genuinely don’t mind x

    • You’re beautiful no matter what you do to your hair and face x

  • Preparation - literally just listening and learning the main parts to the song! (We’ll be miming for the camera!)

    • There’s some sections of the song that I’d like you guys to sing along to - particularly the bridge ‘Hey sir, you know… - til the ‘Hey! Stop!’ etc).

    • It will make it 100000% times easier if you’re able to listen to the song a few times and sing it on the day! :)

  • BYO Water Bottle + snacks - We’ll be providing lunch, so if you have any dietary requirements - let us know ASAP!

    • Don’t forget to bring water though! We’ll have a water available to refill bottles x

    • As mentioned, we will provide lunch, but it is a long day so you might want to bring some snacks!
